A server is responsible for serving guests by assisting with food and beverage selections, ringing in and monitoring orders, maintaining dining ambiance and overall cleanliness and presentation of the space. Responsibilities: - Maintains a working knowledge of full food and drink menu - Describe various food dishes to customers - Uses LDV standards of engagement for all service techniques - Checks with guests regularly during dining experience to confirm satisfaction - Provides guest check promptly and returns receipt promptly - Keeps all service and table areas clean, organized, and stocked - Assists bus server in clearing and pre-bussing whenever possible - Provide engaged, friendly and attentive customer service to all guests inclusive of eye contact, respectable conversation and smiling - Comfortable working in kitchen assisting with plating & serving as needed - Practice highest regards for safety within all areas and with all materials - Follow and adhere to all standards set forth by the Department of Health (DOH) - Have knowledge of state and federal liquor regulations pertaining to serving alcohol - Perform other related activities as assigned by management Qualifications: - 2+ years experience as a Server in a similar caliber establishment - Deliver timely and courteous service to LDV Hospitality guests in adherence to our company policies and procedures - Ability to speak, understand, read and write in English - Must have basic math skills - Maintain friendly, helpful and positive attitude at all times - Strong customer service background - Ability to have an outgoing, friendly disposition for guest relations - Working knowledge of the full food and drink menu - Adherence to company, state, and county sanitation standards - Strict adherence to posted schedule and clock in/out at times - Attendance to company meetings and training seminars as required - Responsible for training and developing new employees to LDV Hospitalitys standards of service - Adherence to company uniform and grooming policies - Perform all other related and compatible duties as assigned by management - Adhere to all HR policies and procedures Education: - High School Diploma or GED is preferred, but not required Physical/Special Requirements: - Ability to lift at least 30 pounds on a regular basis - Ability to bend, stoop, stand and perform extensive walking for 8-10 hours a day - Mobility and manual dexterity appropriate to staff in the Bartender position Work Environment: - Ability to withstand a high volume of business and the movement, noise and temperature extremes associated with that volume - Ability to perform essential job functions under pressure, maintain professionalism when working under stress LDV Hospitality is a premier restaurant group, operating 23 venues across the country.
