Job description

For over 53 years, Control System Labs, Inc. has been an established repair facility for industrial electronic controls. Located in Buffalo, New York, we have an immediate opening for a Shipping, Receiving and Inventory Clerk. In this position, the ideal candidate will: Shipping • Package items for shipment, (mainly parcel packages) and coordinate paperwork for shipping carriers as necessary • Prepare and manage freight shipments ensuring accurate documentation is completed • Photograph outgoing product • File completed repair documentation Receiving • Receive items by entering detailed product information into the computer system to maintain accurate records of incoming items • Photograph incoming product • Retrieve repair documentation folders Inventory Control • Catalog and maintain warehouse inventory ensuring proper organization and accessibility • Distribute ordered parts to technicians and appropriately store excess inventory in the stockroom Other Duties • Perform occasional facilities and maintenance duties including: • Minor Repairs: ability to address common household or facility maintenance issues, such as fixing leaky faucets, or patching small holes in walls. • Tool Proficiency: Familiarity with and the ability to safely use a variety of hand tools, including hammers, screwdrivers, pliers, wrenches, and tape measures. • Assembly and Disassembly: Capability to assemble, install, and disassemble basic furniture, fixtures, and equipment, such as assembling shelves. • Basic Carpentry: Skills like measuring, cutting, and nailing, which are useful for small carpentry projects, like building a crate • Painting and Finishing: The ability to paint walls neatly and evenly. Preferred Experience and Qualifications: • Prior shipping & receiving experience with parcel packages • Prior shipping & receiving experience with freight shipments • Prior inventory control experience • Basic handyman skills as defined in the other duties section above • Ability to climb ladders • Demonstrated computer proficiency with Microsoft Windows applications • Solid multi-tasking skills with a high degree of accuracy • Strong time management skills • Ability to work well in a team-based, fast-paced environment with enthusiasm • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. occasionally • Ability to operator a forklift or be trained in the operation of a forklift • High school diploma or equivalent If interested, please contact Human Resources at 716-836-2100 or direct apply
