Job description

Salary range: $23.00 - $26.00 per hour. The Software Support Specialist I is responsible for providing front-end support to users including application-level administration, troubleshooting, diagnosing, and resolving reporting issues, maintaining the applications and platforms environment ensuring reliable information, performing data and report testing, workflow changes and system updates and upgrades in accordance with Holland Partner Group’s Core Values. Respond to user requests for assistance using Yardi system operations and other applications and platforms. Manage help desk support requests daily for multiple applications and provide assistance and follow-up. Partner with I.T. team members to diagnose and resolve user problems as they relate to applications, platforms, database, and server issues. Maintain user logins and access as necessary upon request following internal controls. Conduct workflow and report testing as needed. Assist with new entity set-up and support implementation of new or existing applications. Assist with data entry of residential data and accounting transactions as needed. Manage system configuration for applications and platforms as needed. Complete special projects as assigned. Represent Holland Partner Group in a professional manner at all times. Perform all other duties as directed and assist the overall team effort in any way possible. Education: High School Diploma or equivalent is required. Associate degree or higher with major course work in information systems, accounting or related field preferred. Experience: Two years of combined residential management and residential accounting experience required. Yardi systems software experience preferred. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required: Knowledge of basic accounting principles (i.e. journal entries, debits, credits, etc.). Knowledge of methods and techniques to troubleshoot software questions or issues. Strong skill in both verbal and written communication, including ability to convey technical issues to non-technical individuals. Strong problem analysis and resolution skills. Effective teamwork and interpersonal skills. Detail oriented and well organized. Ability to work independently and effectively prioritize competing demands and execute tasks in a fast-paced operating environment. Demonstrated proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office, Yardi Systems and/or other property management applications. Must be proactive, flexible, responsible and resourceful. Strong customer service orientation. Attendance: This full-time position requires regular and punctual attendance compliant with the schedule set to meet company needs. Additional hours or overtime may be required. This position also requires: Ability to lift or move up to 20 pounds. Hearing and visual ability to observe and detect signs of emergency situations. Fluency in English both verbally and non-verbally.
