Job description

Job Type Part-time Description Our nine-time NJYMCA State Champion swim team has 500+ swimmers with a legacy of success regionally and nationally with swimmers having achieved Olympic Trials and Junior National Teams. Our swim team is a Silver Medal program recognized by USA Swimming as one of the top-200 teams in the nation. The swimmers ages range from 6 to 18 years and the team competes year-round in YMCA and USA-sanctioned meets. We are currently seeking highly qualified lead swim coaches to join our growing team. We are looking for individuals who share our commitment in strengthening the community through youth development, healthy living, and social responsibility. We enable swimmers to grow as individuals, achieve their goals, and expand their overall potential in a safe and supportive environment. HOURS: School year - evenings and weekends. Summer - mornings, evenings and weekends ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Coaches team of 250 swimmers ages 7-18 years Motivates and develops individual team members Assists in year-round competitions in both YMCA and USA sanctioned swimming events Effectively communicates team information to Swim Team and parents Benefits of working part-time at GSCY include: FREE Individual Membership Access to any YMCA in the Nation. 10% Discount on most programming at Greater Somerset County YMCA. Requirements QUALIFICATIONS Must have personal competitive aquatics experience, preferably at collegiate level. Must have ARC Swim Coach Safety Training, CPR/AED and First Aid certifications. Lifeguard certified preferred. Salary Description starting at $18.00
