Job Family : IT Training & Change Management (Digital) Travel Required : Up to 10% Clearance Required : Ability to Obtain Public Trust What You Will Do : Our organization is currently seeking a Configuration Lead to help us ensure that the function, processes, and appearance of our products are consistent. A Configuration Lead oversees spearheading configuration management procedures and ensuring version efficiency. This position will maintain information about configuration items required to deliver an IT service, and to manage workflows, while also developing, maintaining, and overseeing migration plans and development. Their responsibilities revolve around devising strategies to optimize operations, coordinating with supervisors and analysts in establishing guidelines, and addressing various issues, resolving them promptly and effectively. Responsibilities include: Design, implement, and audit configuration management processes on a large agile program Provide configuration management planning Describe provisions for configuration identification, change control, configuration status accounting, and configuration audits Regulate the change process so that only approved and validated changes are incorporated into product documents and related software Design and monitor workflows, reports, and dashboards using Atlassian Jira Be responsible for maintaining and managing the configuration of the microservices with the dynamic growth of the application instances based on demand Oversee the daily management of configuration items by using an appropriate version control strategy that includes automating software packaging and deployments Work with stakeholders to package each service with the correct version corresponding with all the dependencies and requirements bundled for other microservices, containers, and/or APIs Be responsible for reviewing and updating configuration management processes to reduces the complexity while streamlining the continuous delivery pipeline Ensure releases meet documented quality and configuration standards What You Will Need : Must be a US Citizen and must have the ability to obtain Public Trust clearance Minimum of FOUR (4) years in a previous configuration lead role Experienced with managing complex IT projects Expert at Agile project management strategies Experienced in use of Atlassian tools such as Jira Experienced with traceability of designs to requirements Creating and communicating checkpoints for releases during sprints (increment cut off, begin and complete testing) Resolve and escalate impediments, assures value delivery, and drives program-level continuous improvement Proper identification and documentation of system elements, interfaces, and interdependencies. Timely and thorough vetting and disposition of change requests. Control and documentation of approved changes to baselines Implement hardware and software version control processes, policies and procedures. Develop, coordinate, and monitor changes in software and hardware configuration Identify and organize version management, system build, backup and recovery, archiving, and update management processes What Would Be Nice To Have : Experience with Configuration Management tools and processes Willingness to learn and perform request tasks, respond quickly when necessary, and make recommendations based on needs Ability and willingness to work independently with little oversight or direction in an Agile environment The annual salary range for this position is $69,200.00-$103,800.00. Compensation decisions depend on a wide range of factors, including but not limited to skill sets, experience and training, security clearances, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs.
