Job description
Southern New Hampshire University is seeking a student employee to fill the role of Social Media and Communication Assistant. Jayme's Fund for Social Justice brings help and hope to children in-need, educate our community about human rights issues, and provide opportunities for young people to get involved and make a difference. This position will assistant in maintaining social media platforms, fundraising events and other administrative tasks.
Descriptions of Duties:
Maintaining social media platforms
Responsibilities include writing and posting content, scheduling and managing of all social media platforms; writing blogs (not experience necessary).
Participation in fundraising events as scheduled
Administrative tasks related to fundraising processing and annual newsletter
Minimum Qualifications: Enrolled in SNHU degree program
Work study as part of financial aid package
Reliable transportation
Proficient using social media platforms such as Facebook, Linkedin and Instagram
Interest and or experience in marketing
Likes to communicate and learn best practices using social media.
Interest or experience in human services/human rights issues.
Preferred Qualifications: Excellent writing skills a plus
Able to work independently as well as with supervision
Opportunities to become involved in fundraising activities
Willing to learn email marketing through Constant Contact and Network for Good platforms
Knowledge and experience writing and posting social media posts
Interested in learning about our organizations mission; and how we connect with supporters
Organized and can work independently
Leadership opportunities is desired; interest in learning new skills
Is creative and looking for opportunities to expand skills and make a difference!
Schedule:
Flexible, approx. 5 hours per week. Hybrid schedule (50% remote)
