After Care Teacher
We are currently searching for an After Care Teacher to assist in providing after care services to children ranging in age from 2 years – school age (5th grade level). Our center is located in the Olde Richmond section of Philadelphia at the beautifully-renovated Huntingdon Mills site (2137 E. Huntingdon Street, Philadelphia, PA 19125).
Working as an After Care Teacher at CORA, you will:
- Participate in individual and group activities to actively engage children and encourage cognitive, social, emotional, and physical development.
- Adhere to schedules and routines to ensure adequate physical activity, rest, and playtime.
- Ensure a safe and healthy learning environment including maintaining appropriate hygiene and cleanliness standards and safety and security of children.
- Help to monitor growth and development of children based on established learning objectives using age-appropriate assessment tools.
- Participate collaboratively and professionally with other teachers and staff to promote the general well-being of the Early Years program.

Qualified Candidates Should Possess:
- Minimum of two years documented experience working with an early childhood population.
- Passion and skill for working with children.
- Special skills in art, music, drama, science/STEM, sports highly desired
- Ability to establish and maintain positive relationships with children, colleagues, and families.
- Strong oral and written communication skills and basic computer skills.
- Understanding of child development.
- Willingness to obtain Infant/child CPR and First Aid Certification if not certified
