We are an electronic retailer of jewelry and lifestyle products headquartered in Austin, Texas with a passionate team of approximately 550 people. Our products are sold through TV on 80m homes through our live 24*7 broadcasts, our website, OTT, marketplaces, and social media.
We are the US retailing unit and subsidiary of Vaibhav Global Limited (VGL) which is a well-established vertically integrated company, founded in India about 35 years ago and listed on the Indian stock exchanges. The company has a turnover of $246 million (in the financial year 2022).
The other retailing units of VGL Group are in the UK (Shop TJC) and Germany (Shop LC, Germany). Together, all the units ship out approximately 50,000 pieces of products to their customers in the US, UK, and Germany every day. Business Development Manager (Packaging) – Role Overview
Shop LC is looking for a result-oriented Business Development Manager to help grow the business of our subsidiary in India, Encase Packaging.
Encase Packaging manufactures gift boxes/rigid boxes to cater to manufacturers making/producing luxury products like mobile phones, alcohol, jewelry, perfumes, etc. We are located at is located at Sricity, Andhra Pradesh, India with an employee count of 150 and looking to scale up to 250 in the upcoming financial year.
Work Location – Anywhere in the US
Reporting Manager – Vice President of Operations at Shop LC and dotted-line reporting to Vice President of VGL.
Salary Range – $60,000 – $70,000 annually
Job Responsibilities
- Generate B2B leads through online platforms, trade fairs, print houses, and in-person visits for packaging users/product manufacturers/OEMs.
- Acquire new customers in the US directly or through print buyers, sourcing agencies, buying houses of rigid boxes/gift boxes, and/or any secondary packaging materials.
- To give these clients a one-to-one presentation and brief about our company and be able to convince them to get on board.
- Get the due diligence/documentation/Customer registration done.
- Research prospective accounts in targeted markets, pursue leads and follow through to a successful agreement
- Understand the target markets, including industry, company, project, and company contacts, and which market strategies can be used to attract clients in alignment with Encase’s sales strategy.
- Collaborate with design and manufacturing teams to ensure that requirements are met
- Regular communication & reporting to management on leads generated, budget planning, and making sure the budgets are aligned with the strategy.
- Maintain relationships with existing clients and identify new prospects within the area you have been assigned to achieve annual sales objectives.
- Develop a strong understanding of our products, pricing structure, and our competition in the industry to resolve inquiries and issues with customer accounts.
- Follow the latest industry developments and stay up to date on corporate competitors
- Manage customer engagement through the sales lifecycle to ensure contractual obligations are met and to enable customer satisfaction.
- Seek and qualify prospective customers in accordance with Sales strategy.
Skills & Experience
- Excellent Communication Skills
- Ability to scout/search for new clients is the key profile using online platforms.
- Experience handling corporate/MNC/FMCG clients.
- Strong networking and business development skills.
- Result-oriented.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in the packaging industry is a must.
- Bachelors or Master in Marketing
Physical Requirements
- Remaining in a stationary position, standing, or sitting for prolonged periods.
- Frequently lift 20-50lbs.
- Repeating motions that may include the wrists, hands, and/or fingers.
