Ghost RX is looking for a qualified Cardiac Echo Sonographer to work at the Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Albuquerque, NM .
QUALIFICATIONS:
Active unrestricted State License from any State, Territory, or Commonwealth of the United States or the District of Columbia
The ability to pass a government background clearance mandatory for this position
REQUIREMENTS:
Active Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from American Heart Association
Minimum of two years current experience in this field and recent Echocardiography Technician experience in a hospital setting including covering inpatient units
Siemens experience preferred
SHIFT EXPECTATIONS:
Start date: ASAP
Contract: 10/24/2022 to 10/23/2023 with 1 year option to extend
Shift: no weekend; no call
Tours of duty: rotating basis as needed for coverage and assigned – Monday through Friday; 8 hour shifts from 0700-1530; 8 hour shifts from 0800-1630; 8 hour shifts from 0900-1730 for day shift to complete an 80-hour work pay period of (2 weeks)
CORE DUTIES:
The Echocardiography Technician establishes and maintains responsibility for inpatient echocardiography services to medical and surgical patients in the intensive care units, stepdown units, spinal cord injury unit, general medical floors, emergency department and procedural areas such as cardiac catheterization suite as needed.
Experience in Adult Echocardiograph Services.
Able to perform independently Transthoracic echocardiography, Stress echocardiography, transesophageal echocardiography, 3D echocardiography, and bubble study. 4.2.1.3.
Possesses knowledge of utilizing appropriate Infection Control practices (Donning and Doffing practices) and wearing appropriate PPE at all times while delivering care/treatment to patients throughout Inpatient Units and ED.
