A clinic in Illinois is seeking a Cardiovascular Surgery Physician Assistant to provide quality patient care for a Locum Tenens assignment.
Assignment:
Dates: Immediate
Schedule consists of M-F 7a-3p. May have weeknight call 3p-7a and weekend 24-hour call (not guaranteed; call schedule TBD). Need 3-4 weeks per month of consistent coverage.
Full-time availability is preferred.
Schedule: Monday-Friday hours are approximate 7a-3p; locum will be doing mostly OR time and inpatient rounding but will need to do other typical duties as needed.
Weeknight & weekend call is TBD based on the department's needs and rotation schedule (cannot be guaranteed.)
Setting: Inpatient
Call: May have weeknight call 3p-7a and weekend 24-hour call (not guaranteed; call schedule TBD).
Volume: 2-4 cases per day Inpatient rounding on ~15-25 patients per day, which would be divided between other 1st assist APPs on the schedule (approx. 4 APP)
Patient Ages: 90% Adult 10% Adolescent
Procedures: See Above
Cases: Experienced APP in Cardiovascular Surgery is required including surgical first assisting, Endoscopic Vein Harvest (EVH), perioperative patient care, and inpatient rounding.
Support Staff: Full OR Staff, ICU, Bedside RNs, Office RNs
EMR/Charting: ECMO

Certifications: ACLS; BLS
