Ophthalmology Physician Full-Time

A hospital in North Dakota is seeking a Ophthalmology Physician to provide quality patient care for a Locum Tenens assignment.

Assignment:

Dates: Their Ophthalmologist is retiring end of 2022 and there are very few Ophthalmologists in the area. They are incredibly flexible with how little or busy the physician wants to be. Could work one week a month or build up to a full-time schedule (would be across a few facilities in the area). Ongoing need

Schedule: Again super flexible. The current doctor does consultations in the eye clinic in the morning, sees pre-op patients then goes to the hospitals to complete procedures. They said they will build the schedule around the providers preference (if they prefer one full day of consultations, they can do that too)

Setting: Mix of Inpatient & Outpatient

Call: N/A

Volume: Provider can be as busy as they want (current provider only came out once a month and was doing 18-30 surgeries)

Patient Ages: Mostly adults – older demographic

Procedures: Majority of surgeries are cataracts

Cases: cataracts evaluation and surgery

Support Staff: Surgical team pre and post care on site on day of procedure. Local Optometrist that does post and follow ups

EMR/Charting: Epic

Requirements

Boards: Board Certified; Board Eligible within 5 years

Certifications: DEA
