Job Description
A clear leader in deep foundation and earth retention systems, Schnabel is looking for a pile driver foreman or lead pile driver with experience coordinating and directing crews to install piles, lagging, walers, braces, and more for excavation support and earth retention systems.
As a pile driver foreman, you will assist our job site superintendent and project manager to ensure that we have a safely run and profitable project. You will be a leader on site and lead by example when it comes to production, safety culture, and the ability to follow a plan.
Job Responsibilities
Direct and lead pile driving crew to install piles, lagging, walers, braces, and more.
Ability to follow and implement all of Schnabel and OSHA safety regulations
Responsible for safe and proficient operation of welding equipment and surveying instruments
Clean and maintain safe working condition of all assigned equipment
Work closely with site leadership to ensure that scope of work is being met within a timely schedule
Manage your scope of work appropriately to minimize job cost
You will be responsible for layout
Qualifications
Ability to read and interpret plans and schematics
Minimum of 5 years of documented experience in a pile driving role
Certified structural welder with a D1.1 and the ability to guide and develop our field welders
Ability to lift and carry 80 pounds of materials when necessary
Local travel as required for projects
High school diploma or equivalent
We are a union contractor so you must be associated with a local union or be willing to join one
