Strategic Sourcing Manager Full-Time NEW

PURPOSE:

To lead team activities pertaining to supplier selection and ongoing maintenance and management of the present and future supplier relationships.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Requires a bachelor’s degree (preferably in Business, Econ, or Finance) or equivalent training and 7 years of relevant job experience.
  • Knowledge of commonly-used Purchasing & Supply Chain concepts, practices, and procedures.
  • Must have computer experience, good math skills, and strong communication skills.
  • Must be able to read and understand written information in English.
  • Remote work is not available for this position.
  • Occasional travel required, both locally and out of the area.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license with a clean DMV driving record.
  • Must pass pre-placement drug/alcohol, physical and functional capacity evaluation.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Manage negotiation of supply agreements and improvement activities to support ongoing initiatives.
  • Manage capabilities of existing and future supply base to ensure they meet the needs of our business.
  • Identify new suppliers and evaluate capabilities.
  • Manage risk within our Supply Chain.
  • Develop commodity strategies which support current and future business objectives.
  • Ensure Supply Chain strategies are effectively deployed. Negotiate long term formal agreements with core suppliers.
  • Work with our legal team to effectively manage all contracts and agreements.
  • Work closely with Operational teams to ensure strategies are developed and deployed with full support of team.
  • Manage Internal and Supplier KPIs.
  • Perform other duties as assigned or requested.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Ability to frequently move in food processing facilities, and packaging warehouse. Ability to operate a computer and other office productivity equipment. Ability to continuously work with equipment at ground level. Must be able to work in different temperatures (working temperatures as hot as 100° to 110° F and as cold as -20° F to 32° F). Must be able to work in a high noise area. Must be able to move items weighing up to 50lbs.
