Residential Children's Support Worker

We are proud to be working with a well respected and fast growing social care provider in Sussex for a brand new 2 bed home for young people 11-16 years old North Chailey

This is an excellent opportunity to work in a challenging yet rewarding environment supporting young people to become independent and building invaluable relationships and trust. The young people you will be supporting may have suffered trauma, loss, child sexual exploitation and may be present emotional and behavioral difficulties.

The role is on a full time basis and offers a very competitive salary as well as excellent training, support from an experienced passionate management team and genuine opportunity's for progression as the company grows.

Previous experience of working within a residential childcare setting is preferred but consideration will be given to those with 6 months experience in similar social care areas who can demonstrate a genuine desire for this role.

Requirements

Good written and spoken English
Right to work in the UK full time (sponsorship is not available)
Experience in Residential Care or similar environment
NVQ Level 3 in Children's and Young People's Workforce (preferable)
Flexibility to work on a rolling rota to include sleep ins and weekends
Full clean UK driving license
Own transport to commute due to rural location of service

Pay : £34,450.00-£36,250 per year dpendent on experience and qualifactions

Hours

Hours of work are 0800-2300 Sleep in with an average of 42 hours per week plus sleep ins, working a five week rolling rota pattern of 2 days on, 3 days off which will include some weekends.
