Overview

We are looking for an experienced Head of Data to lead and scale the data function at a fast-growing, innovative start-up in the financial services. This is a critical role where you will own the data strategy and drive the use of data as a key asset across the business.

Responsibilities

Develop and implement the company’s overall data strategy, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
Build, lead, and mentor a data team, including data engineers, analysts, and scientists.
Oversee data architecture, governance, and security to ensure data integrity and compliance with industry regulations.
Collaborate with leadership and key stakeholders to leverage data for decision-making and growth strategies.
Implement and scale data infrastructure, pipelines, and analytics capabilities to support product development and business needs.
Drive data-driven insights to enhance customer experience, improve operational efficiency, and support product innovation.

Experience & Skills

Proven experience as a Head of Data or senior data role, with significant leadership experience, ideally in financial services or start-ups.
Strong knowledge of data governance, security, and compliance (e.g., GDPR, financial regulations).
Expertise in data architecture, data warehousing, and modern data engineering tools (Azure).
Ability to influence and work collaboratively with senior leadership and cross-functional teams.
Hands-on experience scaling data functions in a high-growth, dynamic environment.
Strategic mindset with a focus on business outcomes, combined with a strong technical foundation.
