A leading high-tech manufacturer based in the West Oxfordshire area is looking to recruit an Engineering Manager to lead and manage a specialist business unit which comprises of various technical departments covering manufacturing, design and quality, project management. This Engineering Manager role would best suit a technical engineer who has moved into Engineering Management but still likes to lead and manage from a technical perspective.
The Engineering Manager will manage a team of direct reports, responsible for designing, optimising, refining, successfully manufacturing, testing, delivering, and reporting on, all programs of work within that business unit. The Engineering Manager is to own and develop the team, systems and engineering tools required to deliver exceptional technical solutions.
The Engineering Manager role would fit anyone with the following:
A confident and experienced subject matter expert, with an array of knowledge spanning the relevant field of engineering and manufacturing.
Project management experience. Technical, hands-on approach with a full understanding of the commercial implications and requirements of a technically challenging design, engineering, and manufacturing project.
PC Literate and able to use or quickly learn SolidWorks, SAP Business One, and Adept.
Experience of setting up or maintaining manufacturing lines, cells and facilities would be desirable.
