A Cloud Engineering Manager is needed to join a Global e-Commerce / Retail company based in London. You will lead their growing cloud engineering team focused on developing Azure-based middleware solutions that power seamless integrations across platforms and enable scalable business growth.
As the Cloud Engineering Manager, you will lead a small team of Azure Cloud Engineers, driving the development of robust middleware solutions using Azure services. This hands-on leadership role is perfect for someone eager to build cutting-edge cloud-based integrations and play a vital role in shaping our technology ecosystem.
Key Responsibilities & Required Experience:
- Lead, mentor, and grow a team of Cloud Engineers – experience of working as a Tech Lead / hands-on Engineering Manager.
- Drive technical excellence through best practices, including CI/CD, code reviews, and automated testing.
- Collaborate with senior leadership to define cloud strategy and technology roadmaps.
- Leading Microservice Architecture design.
- Stakeholder Management – interacting and collaborating with technical and non-technical stakeholders across a Retail company.
Your team will be focused on:
Middleware Development & Integration:
- Design, build, and maintain scalable middleware solutions for system integrations.
- Proven experience developing integration solutions in a cloud environment.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as C#, Python, or JavaScript.
Azure Platform Expertise:
- Develop cloud-based applications using Azure services such as Azure Functions, Logic Apps, Service Bus, and API Management.
- Hands-on experience with Azure services and optimizing resource usage for cost-efficiency and high availability.
API Development & Data Management:
- Design and implement RESTful APIs for system communication.
- Familiarity with database technologies such as Azure SQL Database, Cosmos DB, or similar.
- Strong understanding of RESTful API design and best practices.
