Macgregor Black are partnering with a Growing Toy Company on the search for a National Account Manager. This is a permanent role based in London.
As the National Account Manager you will be responsible for managing and developing key retail accounts across the UK, with a focus on expanding business relationships, driving sales growth, and ensuring the brand is represented effectively within major retailers. You will play a crucial role in the development of the company’s retail strategy, working closely with internal teams and customers to maximise sales and brand presence.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage key national retail accounts, ensuring strong relationships, customer satisfaction, and growth in line with company objectives.
- Drive sales targets, implementing tailored strategies for each account to maximise revenue potential and overall profitability.
- Collaborate with the sales and marketing teams to develop and execute promotional campaigns, product launches, and seasonal plans that align with both customer needs and brand direction.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities with retail partners, expanding the company’s reach and visibility.
- Negotiation and Contract Management: Manage contracts, terms, and pricing with retailers, ensuring mutually beneficial agreements and long-term partnerships.
- Keep up-to-date with market trends, competitor activities, and customer feedback to adjust strategies and stay ahead in the industry.
- Work closely with the product, marketing, and supply chain teams to ensure the smooth execution of campaigns and the delivery of products as per account needs.
- Regularly report on account performance, sales metrics, and market insights to senior management, ensuring alignment with business goals.
What are we looking for?
- A strong background in retail account management with proven success in driving sales and building relationships in the toy, gifting, or consumer goods industries.
- Experience within the toy and gifting industry is essential, with a deep understanding of product trends, customer preferences, and seasonal dynamics.
- Ability to develop and execute strategic plans that drive sales growth and meet the needs of major retail partners.
- Strong negotiation abilities, with experience managing high-level discussions and agreements with national retailers.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate with internal teams and external customers at all levels.
- Strong analytical skills, able to review data and market trends to make informed decisions and drive performance.
- Highly organised with the ability to manage multiple accounts and projects simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail.
