Cloud Security Architect
Salary – £130-145k + 20-30% Bonus + Benefits
Location – London (hybrid working pattern – in office 3 days per week)
Brand new opportunity with a major UK Investment Management firm who are hiring for a Cloud Security Architect to lead on the continuous development and design of their cloud-native, highly scalable, highly available infrastructure environment.
Reporting directly into the newly appointed Head of Security Engineering, you will work closely with the highly technical security engineering team to ensure all products, services and design proposals are secure and in line with the cloud security architecture strategy; effectively acting as a senior authority on all technical and governance related cloud security architecture implementations and proposals.
This is an incredible opportunity to work in a senior capacity within one of the most respected senior leadership teams, designing and delivering a truly next generation cloud-native security architecture function for a very prestigious Investment Management firm.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform security architecture reviews of key processes and systems, driving security best practices throughout software development and SDLC phases.
- Lead threat modelling activities to demonstrate the value and impact of security across the wider business.
- Act as a senior technical figurehead to the technical security, platform and software engineering teams, whilst advising senior leadership across the business (including C-Suite) and translating technical concepts into business risks.
Key Requirements
- In-depth technical knowledge of cloud security concepts and principles, with demonstrable prior experience working in a Security / Software Engineering capacity.
- Hands-on experience working with major cloud solutions (IaaS, PaaS, Event-driven / Serverless, SaaS) in AWS and/or Azure and the associated risks.
- Ability to translate technical concepts into business risks and confidently face off with executive stakeholders.
- Experience working within a highly regulated environment, preferably Financial Markets.
