Finance Manager (Fund Finance Manger) – Venture Capital
We are looking for a Finance Manager (Fund FM) for a trailblazing Venture Capital firm. This exciting VC are looking for a Finance Manager who will report into the Head of Operations with a dotted line to the Founders.
As the Finance Manager, you will oversee all aspects of financial management and reporting related to the new fund. You’ll work closely with the leadership team to establish robust financial processes, ensure regulatory compliance, and provide key insights to drive investment decisions. This is a unique and rare opportunity to join a dynamic team at the forefront of venture capital in a pivotal growth phase.
As this fund is launching in mid 2025 we are looking to hold initial informal interviews from January to find the right person for this exciting opportunity. Fund Financial Management
Oversee all financial operations for the new fund, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning.
Track performance metrics and prepare financial models to assess the fund's returns.
Ensure compliance with FCA regulations and other relevant financial reporting standards.
Liaise with external auditors and tax advisors to ensure smooth audits and tax filings.
Investment Support
Work closely with the investment team to provide financial insights on potential portfolio companies.
Conduct due diligence, including financial analysis and risk assessment, on prospective investments.
Monitor portfolio company performance and provide post-investment financial oversight.
Build and implement financial processes and systems for the fund’s operational efficiency.
Support the leadership team in strategic decision-making by providing actionable financial insights.
Lead initiatives to improve financial reporting and transparency for internal and external stakeholders.
Proven experience in financial management, preferably within a venture capital, private equity, or fund management setting.
ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent financial qualification.
Advanced skills in financial modelling, reporting, and analysis.
Strong proficiency in financial software and tools (Excel, accounting platforms, etc.)
Experience working with early-stage investments or in sustainability-focused ventures.
Familiarity with ESG reporting standards and sustainable finance practices.
