Area Sales Manager – North East England
Salary: £45,000 + Commission

Geographical Coverage:
The primary area is the North of England along the M62 Corridor, including surrounding counties. Occasional travel to other NE regions may be required as part of the role, subject to business needs.

Role Overview
As an Area Sales Manager , you will join an established team to drive sales, maintain and grow the customer base, and provide technical solutions within the architectural and building products industry. The role is ideal for a motivated individual with strong account management skills and a customer-focused mindset, who is eager to contribute to the company’s ongoing success.
Key Responsibilities
Account Management:
- Maintain relationships with existing accounts, ensuring satisfaction and exploring opportunities for additional sales.
- Regularly review the supply status and identify potential for new products or increased orders.
Sales Growth:
- Develop and expand the customer base within the target market, focusing on the M62 Corridor and surrounding areas.
- Identify and act on new sales opportunities to drive revenue growth.
Technical Sales Support:
- Provide tailored solutions to meet customer requirements, leveraging technical knowledge and expertise.
- Assist with estimating and quoting for projects based on customer specifications and drawings.
Performance Management:
- Strive to meet key performance indicators and targets for volume, margin, and profitability.
- Analyse lost opportunities and identify lessons learned to improve future sales efforts.
Additional Responsibilities:
- Build strong customer relationships through site visits, meetings, and proactive communication.
- Differentiate the company’s products and services by emphasising quality, compliance, and customer benefits.
- Stay updated on industry trends, regulations, and product compliance requirements.
- Contribute to the company’s sustainability and environmental goals.
Candidate Profile

Key Requirements:
- Preferably in the architectural, building, or construction products industry.
- Knowledge of architectural glass or similar products, such as façades, partitioning, or balustrading, is an advantage.
- Strong understanding of the construction and architectural industry, including market trends, safety, and quality standards.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills across all levels.
- Proactive problem-solving mindset with a results-oriented approach.
Key Skills:
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office; CRM software experience is desirable.
- Strong presentation and analytical skills.
- Familiarity with technical drawings and the ability to interpret customer specifications.
- A track record of achieving or exceeding sales targets is essential.
