A leading quantitative trading firm is seeking a highly skilled Software Engineer to join its Risk Technology team. This team is responsible for designing, building, and maintaining a sophisticated trading risk platform, crucial for trade capture, position management, profit/loss computation, inventory/locate management, and internal order routing.
The firm is investing heavily in transforming its Risk platform into a new service-oriented architecture. They are looking for engineers with a passion for software development who thrive in a dynamic, global, and collaborative environment, with a strong commitment to engineering excellence. This role does not require any prior finance experience, just strong C++ developers with a keen interest in this space.
Key Responsibilities:
Design, develop, and deliver production-critical software.
Work closely with stakeholders and team members to gather requirements, define architecture and technologies, and resolve bottlenecks.
Lead and contribute to design discussions while mentoring other team members.
Qualifications:
Must Have:
~ Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
~3+ years of C++ development experience in a Linux environment.
~ Strong understanding of data structures and algorithms.
~ Excellent communication skills and a collaborative, team-oriented approach.
Nice to Have:
Experience with scalable, large-scale, or distributed systems and service-oriented architecture.
Expertise in optimizing code for high-performance applications.
Familiarity with messaging systems (e.g., Kafka, AMPS, QPID).
Experience with Python, bash, and/or Q/KDB.
