A leading corporate banking and capital markets organisation is seeking a Leveraged Finance Associate to join their team in London.
Main Purpose of the role:
As a Leveraged Finance Associate, you will be part of the international origination team operating out of London but will also assist and work with the Frankfurt origination team. Our area is responsible for the generation and execution of Leveraged Buy Outs (“LBO”) financings. The team’s core market covers the full spectrum of small, medium and large-cap LBO transactions for Private Equity funds throughout Europe.
Key Activities and Competencies:
From joining, you will be significantly involved in the origination, structuring and execution of LBO financings. As part of a transaction team, you will be analysing companies in the greatest possible depth. You will take part in the due diligence process, create financial models and associated sensitivity analysis, and prepare credit applications for the bank's credit decision makers. You will be part of the Co-Investment fund team in London and will prepare Investment Committee papers and be responsible for undertaking various fund Administration tasks in accordance with the Portfolio Manager Agreement. You will take part in customer presentations, be involved in loan syndication as well as in the creation and negotiation of loan agreements. You will be in contact with private equity sponsors, other banks and external advisors and consultants. You will coordinate the cooperation with corporate client business units and other internal departments of the bank. You will possess the willingness to get flexibly involved and bring the highest commitment in transactions with a project-like character in a highly attractive, exciting and competitive business segment.
Key Requirements:
- Business, economics or related university degree
- Internships in Investment Banking or Management consulting
- Practical experience in business and financial analysis, as well financial modelling
- Proficiency in MS-Office applications (particularly Excel, PowerPoint)
- Flexible, independent and team orientated worker with track record of excellent time management
- Proficiency in German (preferable but not critical)
