About the role:
The Director of Product, Payments has overall accountability for leading and managing the product vision, strategy and roadmap for all of our Payments products. The Director of Product, Payments takes the perspective of “CEO of the product”, responsible for the market vision and development of our Payments products, as well as the general success of the business line in general. They will be charged with managing a team of product managers, and supporting staff, as well as collaborating with marketing, sales, on-boarding and support teams. Overseeing a “tribe” of product and engineering staff, the Director of Product, Payments will be expected to drive innovative ideas, solutions and products through leadership, thoughtful analysis, and decisive action, as well as providing the overall vision for the product roadmap.What you’ll do here: Define the Product Vision, Strategy and Roadmap for all of Payments.Lead, manage and mentor a team of product managers and related personnel.Manage the product lifecycle from concept to launch of the product(s) across all products/product lines.Lead, define, represent and communicate product strategy to all stakeholders.Work closely with clients, partners, business units, Product, and Engineering to elicit requirements.Oversee management of the product backlog, balancing conflicting priorities.Manage the analysis and validation of functional and nonfunctional requirements for Product value.Monitor product development production and evaluate results.Own the product roadmap and communicate with C-level staff, board members, and other stakeholders.Actively participates in design discussions with Engineering when defining product initiatives.Creates and maintains supporting product design documentation as necessary, including diagrams (user workflows, DFDs, process swim lanes, etc.), mock-ups, vision boards, and implementation plans.Continually learns and deepens knowledge of our system, product features, and user experiences.Lead and influence a positive, united team culture to achieve success within the Product and Engineering team.Participate in thought leadership opportunities in the market and at sponsored eventsAssess product development and enhancement opportunities.U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident status requiredVisa Sponsorship not availableAbout you: 6-10+ years in Product Management Leadership; 2-5+ leading payments and/or real estate technology.BS in Business, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent specific industry experience. MBA preferred, but not requiredClient/Partner-facing requirement gathering and training experience.Familiar with Agile methodologies (Flow Framework, Scrum, Kanban, and/or SAFe).Enjoy working in a team-oriented culture and able to work in a dynamic, fast-paced work environment.Results-oriented with a demonstrated sense of urgency and the ability to assess situations and make clear, data-driven decisions.Excellent internal / client-facing written and verbal communication skills.Strong organizational and task management skills, including attention to detail and multitasking skills.Experience documenting business processes, operational workflows, and system functionality.Demonstrated ability to identify product feature gaps and suggest product improvements.History of assessing and solving problem situations, gathering information and identifying causes, generating solutions, and making recommendations/decisions to resolve the problem.Successful track record fostering teamwork and positively influencing technical and non-technical stakeholders to achieve organizational or project goals.
