Perowne International has an opening for a Junior Sales Manager. Working within the Sales & Marketing team, the main responsibility of the role is to actively promote Perowne International and relevant clients within the portfolio. This includes brand image, developing and maintaining relationships, and day-to-day sales activity with travel trade partners in the UK, with the key goals of increasing awareness and driving revenue. The candidate must have UK market luxury travel industry sales experience, preferably with a focus towards European destinations, and should have a passion for travel. Perowne International is one of the leading travel industry consultancies with a global reach comprising a communications division, sales team and a digital sister company. Based in St. James’s, London, the team represents some of the world’s leading hotels and properties.

Duties
Including but not be limited to:
• Supporting the Account Director on client accounts and related travel trade.
• Supporting the team in building and maintaining strong business relationships with all accounts under the guidance of the sales directors.
• Sales efforts will be directed in the UK market, as well as supporting our work in key European markets.
• Develop a complete and thorough knowledge of Perowne International accounts, such as the properties, facilities and unique selling points.
• Regular communication with travel trade partners, such as travel agents and tour operators, in order to develop partnerships, maintain relationships, promote our clients, grow exposure and generate enquiries.
• Experienced and confident in hotel sales representation and the general working of the UK luxury travel market.
• The organisation of client roadshows, events and sales calls in the UK, as directed by the sales directors.
• Representing Perowne International and its clients at tradeshows and events in the UK and abroad when required.
• Conducting presentations, networking, entertaining and building a strong rapport with clients
and trade.
• Arranging site inspections and Fam trips, and hosting group Fam trips when required.
• Assisting with enquiries and bookings.
• Carrying out all forms of communication with the travel trade, such as emails and mailers.
• Assisting in developing commercial agreements with key partners on behalf of our clients.
• Giving support to the sales team on introducing new clients to the market.
• Communication with clients, in conjunction with the Account Director and Directors regarding plans and actions, to ensure that clients are continuously aware of the work we are doing for them in the relevant markets and that agreed objectives are met.
• Updating internal systems to ensure data and information are being tracked correctly.
• Recording activity to assist with client reports and pulling monthly reports.
• As the role evolves and the business develops, there may be the need and ambition to diversify within different destinations outside of the initial remit. Maintaining an interest in key destinations for the relevant markets and indeed for Perowne International as a business will always remain a key focus.

Candidate Profile
• Sales experience within the UK market, the luxury hotel industry or similar representation agencies.
• Comfortable at presenting and networking.
• Highly organised and effortless multi-tasking skills.
• Fluent English (spoken and written) is essential.
• Strong communicator, solution seeker and assertive attitude towards business.
• Knowledge and interest in luxury travel and lifestyle trends.
• Commercial acumen specifically related to the workings of the luxury market.
• Ability to deliver results based on commercial targets and expectations.
• Maintain good timekeeping to the office and any appointments.
• Personal grooming required of a high standard - office attire required at all times.
• Must hold a UK passport and valid UK driving licence.
• Able to travel to the London office at least three times a week.
