Required Skill Set:
- As a Software License Manager, candidate will be responsible for the entire lifecycle of software licenses.
- Take priority on compliance, ensuring client uses software properly and avoid costly legal risks.
- Candidate will also do a cost optimization, finding ways to streamline software usage that helps negotiate better licensing deals.
- Develop and implement software license strategies, best practices, and procedures.
- Manage software licenses across their lifecycle:
acquisition, deployment, compliance, renewal. - Oversee software asset inventory.
- Use software metering and license expiry data to track license utilization for real-time enforcement of license compliance and to reduce legal and audit risks.
- Optimize software spend through license agreements and ensuring licenses are not underutilized.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate SaaS applications with ServiceNow SAM Pro.
- Manage and oversee the entitlement upload process for in-scope software publishers.
- Troubleshoot and resolve any issues related to ServiceNow SAM Pro implementation and integrations.
- Software management requires the creation and application of publisher-specific packs and plugins.
- Collaborate with IT, procurement, and legal teams.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of software asset management processes.
- Experience with software licensing models and ServiceNow
- SAM Pro functionality with major publishers like Oracle, Veritas, VMWare, Adobe.
- Hands-on experience of ServiceNow toolset and other ITAM technologies.
- What soft skills:
Fluent English verbal and written communication skills. Ability to work independently and be self-motivated with personal initiative. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify and solve licensing issues. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to liaise with various departments.
