Summary of Responsibilities: Reporting to the Operations Manager and Maintenance Team Lead, responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:Consistently offer professional, friendly and engaging serviceReviews job orders to determine work priorities and schedules repair and maintenance.Plans and coordinates the repair and maintenance at times that do not disturb guests.Fulfills preventive maintenance schedules for room equipment and assures thatschedules are followed.Assures that all life safety procedures and inspections are followed according to applicablestandards and regulations.Performs repair maintenance on equipment in roomsEnsures that Preventative Maintenance is completed in accordance with hotel standardsPerforms routine electrical repair.Performs routine plumbing repair.Performs finish work as needed.Repairs heating and air conditioning as needed.Maintains certified pool operator designation to coordinate pool maintenance,controls and applies chemicals to attain proper pH and chlorine levels.Understands and complies with all laws, rules, regulations, policies and procedures applicable to his/her position.Maintain proper usage of tools and equipment in accordance to OHS and WCB StandardsUpdate and record jobs completed or outstanding.Follow departmental policies and procedures and service standardsFollow all safety and sanitation policiesOther duties as assignedCommon Area Walk thrus REQUIREMENTS Previous experience in maintenance position or in a position requiring some hard physical work and a high standard of guest/customer service Excellent communication and organizational skills Strong interpersonal and problem solving abilities Highly responsible & reliable Ability to work cohesively with fellow colleagues as part of a team Ability to work well unsupervised, at a fast pace while maintaining quality standards Ability to focus attention on guest needs, remaining calm and courteous at all times Impeccable grooming and presentation Completely fluent English language skills, both written and verbal Commitment to provide excellent service and exceed guests' expectations Must be available to work varying shifts, overtime, weekends and holidays Constant standing and walking throughout shift Frequent lifting and carrying up to 30 lbs Frequent kneeling, pushing, pulling, lifting Occasional ascending or descending ladders, stairs and ramps Must be physically capable of performing repetitive workVisa Requirements: Must be legally eligible to work in CanadaFirst impressions are everything!
