IT Support Engineer - relocate to live and work in the sunny, TAX FREE Cayman Islands

We are seeking an experienced and highly mobile IT Professional who would be interested in relocating to join our client, a prominent MSP and provider of IT Solutions and Consultancy services based in the Cayman Islands, a British Overseas Territory.
The successful applicant will be a part of a team of Engineers/IT Consultants on island (including several who have moved to Cayman from the UK themselves!) that validate customer requirements, manage projects (including design, implementation and documentation) and proactively manage and support customer networks to ensure operational availability and security.

Day to day responsibilities will be varied depending on client requirements and skill set, but to include:
- Designing, Implementing, and Supporting Microsoft Solutions for both Cloud (Azure/365) and On-Prem.
- Providing/assisting in design and implementation of various solutions to meet customer’s needs, such as On-Prem to Cloud Migrations, Server and Storage installations, Backup and DR Solutions, Cloud Hosted Services, Network and Wireless.
- Review and Report on quality and performance of cloud services and offerings.
- Manage customer support requests and provide on-going proactive and reactive support for customers. Act as a point of escalation for technical support.
- Maintain Documentation and provide technical training and/or knowledge transfer to Internal staff and customers.
- Maintain high levels of customers satisfaction.
- Manage assigned projects including Customer communications, deadlines, deliverables and coordinating with internal and external resources to ensure successful completion.
- Maintain technical skill and certification levels to accepted industry standards.
- Pre-sales involvement - working with the sales team to provide sales opportunities from problem analysis and aid with sales where needed.
- Ensure time is correctly managed and logged within the Service Desk for all activities.
Experience required:
- Minimum of 3-5 years’ experience that ideally includes direct experience working in a Managed Services / Professional Services role.
- Experience working in a Service desk or Helpdesk environment with knowledge of ticket handling, escalation, etc.
- Experience providing pre-sales consultation to Customers and with Sales representatives.
- Experience in project management of Migrations and Implementation scenarios around Microsoft solutions.
- Excellent communication and customer-facing presentation skills
- Relevant industry certifications from Microsoft, HPE and/or other vendors
This is a full-time, employee based position in the Cayman Islands. Due to the relocation involved, candidates should be highly mobile/able to relocate easily, adaptable and have interest in making a long-term move to Grand Cayman.
