We're looking for a Merchandiser to join our wonderful Product Team
About your responsibilities:
- Alongside buyer, create and develop profit focused department strategy. Build a balanced, commercial and global range taking into account OTB, options and price
- Set and deliver financial KPIs at category, line and attribute level seasonally
- Responsible for maintaining WSSI’s and seasonal planning documents, feeding into the wider business
- Trade department in season, identifying risk and opportunity to sales and margin, reallocating spend based on demand where required
- Delivery of excellent stock and size availability, targeting core product at 90%
- Identify margin opportunities through long lead planning and strategic cross costings.
- Responsible for managing a team of 2, ensuring training and coaching needs are met. Provide on the job training, flexing style as required.
- Work closely with buying and design to identify new product areas and optimise sales growth
- Own and maintain critical path from initial planning to getting stock on line. Ensure stock is delivered on time and through the most economical and sustainable methods
- Provide regular, clear performance updates to the business
- Implement short, medium and long term supplier strategy to support business growth. Regular supplier meetings and updates to ensure key messages are communicated ahead of time
- Work cross functionally to provide accurate updates and forecasts
About you:
- Minimum of 2 years experience at Merchandiser level
- Experience in planning and trading long lead, core departments
- Ability to manipulate and analyse large datasets
- Proven track record of planning and delivering against sales and margin targets
- Ability to lead and develop high performing teams
- Embraces a changing environment and champions that in a positive manner
- You’re not afraid to roll your sleeves up and get stuck into tasks required even though they may not always be yours to own
- Able to travel to suppliers when needed
