Accountancy firm in the city of London has vacancy for a trainee accountant /bookkeeper who ideally have previous experience working in an accountancy practice.
This full-time role offers the successful candidate exposure to a wide range of clients across a variety of sectors. It will help you develop your technical skills and professional development.
Responsibilities:
- Perform bookkeeping, payroll preparation, and VAT return submissions
- Manage financial administration and electronic document organization
- Prepare statutory financial statements from primary records or trial balances
- Compile management accounts and assist with reporting
- Respond to management inquiries related to financial data and reports
- Prepare tax computations and returns
- Communicate with clients and support senior staff and managers
- Ensure compliance with financial regulations and internal policies
Skills / Experience:
- Academic background in accounting and finance
- Good knowledge of World and Excel
- Previous experience of using Sage Accounts, Xero and Quick Books would be advantageous.
- Previous experience of tax (payroll, personal and corporation tax) would be advantageous.
- Accuracy and attention to detail
- Highly organised and ability to meet deadline.
- Ability to communicate effectively.
- Confidence and professionalism when dealing with clients.
- Ability to work on your own initiative or as part of a team
