Overview of the Role:
The Technical Sales Representative at Tuffa Tanks will play a crucial role in specifying and selling bespoke tank solutions across various industries, including automotive, agriculture, industrial manufacturing and chemical processing sectors in the UK. This role requires a deep understanding of our customers' needs and the ability to tailor complex solutions.
Technical Sales Representative Key Responsibilities
Bespoke Solutions Development:
- Engage with clients to understand their specific needs and develop customised tank solutions suitable for a variety of industries.
- Utilise SAP to estimate total build costs, including components, sub-assemblies, and operation times to generate accurate pricing.
Quotation and CRM Management:
- Prepare and present detailed quotations for bespoke solutions using SAP.
- Use HubSpot CRM to add, nurture, and maintain detailed customer and client records.
- Regularly communicate with clients via calls and emails to ensure their needs are met and to foster strong relationships.
Collaboration and Support:
- Work closely with the engineering team to ensure specifications are clearly understood and accurately reflected in design drawings for quotes.
- Assist sales colleagues by generating bespoke quotes for their regular clients and manage your own accounts meticulously.
Business Development:

Develop and strengthen relationships with existing clients, focusing on those requiring bespoke equipment.

Proactively seek new business opportunities by cold calling and exploring various sectors for bespoke chemical and industrial tank solutions.

Source, implement and manage tender bidding systems to seek out new business leads, opportunities and track potential sales
Technical Sales Representative Requirements:
- Proven experience in technical sales, ideally within the manufacturing sector.
- Strong proficiency in estimating with a manufacturing system, SAP is desired by not mandatory.
- Experience with CRM systems, preferably HubSpot, for managing customer relationships.
- Excellent communication skills, capable of conducting negotiations and presenting technical information clearly.
- Demonstrable ability to develop and expand customer relationships.
