BMS Software Engineer - Burnley - Paying up to 45K + Benefits
Due to continued growth my client based in Burnley, is looking for a BMS Software Engineer to join their team. They create and implement cost-effective, low-carbon energy solutions for the public and private sector customers across the UK.You will contribute to the design, delivery, and verification of the BMS energy conservation initiatives and will also provide BMS support to the wider low-carbon energy solutions and the project delivery teams.
As a BMS Software Engineer you will:
- Assess the baseline performance of BMS control strategies through the interrogation of strategy drawings, O&M documentation, and observed operating conditions.
- Support the commissioning, witness testing, and handover of delivered BMS energy savings initiatives.
- Supporting the measurement and verification of guaranteed energy savings.
- Identify and collect existing BMS logs, or setting up new logging as applicable, to support the modelling of potential BMS and HVAC energy savings initiatives.
- Working closely with the BMS sub-contractor supply chain to create, review, and seek client approval of BMS reviewable design data such as control’s philosophy, risk assessment, method statement, and impact assessment.
- Carry out detailed surveys of BMS and controlled HVAC equipment to support the identification of BMS and HVAC energy conservation initiatives.
As BMS Software engineer you will be:
- Hardworking and self-motivated individual with demonstrable experience delivering BMS optimisation and upgrade projects.
- Experience working with BMS sub-contractors and project delivery teams to ensure projects are delivered to specification and within agreed budget and timeframes.
- In-depth knowledge and experience of BMS and HVAC control strategy design and operation.
- Flexible approach to managing workload with the ability to work to deadlines.
- Experience delivering BMS projects through the BMS sub-contractor supply chain.
- Experience integrating HVAC plant into BMS with a good working knowledge of common high-level networks such as BACnet, Modbus, and MBus.
- Experience working with customer IT teams to identify and deliver IT infrastructure upgrades to migrate from proprietary BMS networks to Ethernet-based systems
- Full UK driving licence
