We have a fantastic opportunity at HMP Rye Hill to join the Novus education team as our IAG (Information, Advice, and Guidance) Worker on a permanent, full-time basis, working 37 hours a week.
Job description
We are recruiting for a IAG Worker to join our education team at HMP Rye Hill.
You will work with, and be supported by, our amazing team of dedicated professionals to deliver high-quality certificate level lessons exploring career paths, educational options, and personal development with groups of up to 16 learners. You will need patience, passion and understanding in your approach which will in turn help them to secure future employment opportunities post-release.
Our security team are on hand to ensure the lessons run smoothly. We always try to cater to a learner's individual needs and ensure we create a positive learner experience. Time will be given to planning and your Local Education Manager is always on hand to provide support as and when needed. Delivery happens between Monday and Friday and weekends and evenings are strictly for rest and relaxation.
To be successful in the role, you will need:
To hold or be willing to work towards a level 3 information, advice and guidance qualification within an agreed time scale.
To hold or be willing to work towards level 2 qualifications in literacy and numeracy within an agreed timescale.About Novus

About HMP Rye Hill Prison
HMP Rye Hill is a category 'B' training prison situated in the village of Willoughby, near Rugby in Warwickshire, holding 664 sentenced male adults.
HMP Rye Hill has continued to focus on enhancing its rehabilitative culture. Government inspectors have rated the prison positively for promoting safety, respect, and purposeful activity. Additionally, plans for expanding the prison's capacity from 664 to 1126 inmates are underway, further enhancing its ability to manage its population effectively.
Our aim is to create an environment in which staff and prisoners feel safe, and causes of prison stress are minimised. We seek to normalise prison conditions as far as possible and reflect life in the outside community.
