The role of the ERP Analyst is to work pro-actively with business partners to analyse, prepare functional specifications, document, propose and develop software solutions for large and/or complex business processes and to provide the business with the systems and support necessary for it to achieve its operational objectives. A logical and creative thinker with excellent problem solving skills, the ERP Analyst’s main responsibilities will include:
- Collect, understand, and transmit the business requirements for projects, and translate these into functional specifications and detailed test plans.
- Document workflows and results of business analysis and obtain sign-off from client on the specifications.
- To design and execute test scenarios and test scripts.
- Ensure that the appropriate system security procedures are implemented within the site’s IT systems and that these procedures are documented and adhered to.
- Ensure that all software developments are undertaken in accordance with recognised standards and practices.
- Follow the appropriate procedures for logging, reviewing, prioritising, scheduling and accepting IT department work requests.
The ideal candidate will also typically have 3+ years’ experience of an ERP system (QAD ERP is desirable) and 3+ years’ experience working in Software Development. The ability to communicate technical concepts into non-technical language together with the ability to analyse and document complex business processes is key to this role.
