Summary
Oscar have started the search for a SOC Manager to join a highly regarded, specialized MSP based in Stoke city center, with on-site parking.
They are now looking for an experienced professional with a problem-solving mindset to join their team to manage and maintain the day-to-day activities of their security operations centre covering analysis, response, resolution and the development and implementation of security protocols. You will be leading and managing a security team to ensure security compliance, high-standards of work, and the improvement of operational security across the company.
The role is being offered as 5 days onsite in their office.

The Role
They are seeking an ambitious and talented SOC Manager to lead a team in security monitoring and analysis, threat intelligence, and incident response. Your responsibilities will include:
- Conduct staff performance reviews, and develop and implement training programs.
- Collaborate with security and cross-functional teams to identify and mitigate risks
- Develop and manage budgets, ensuring efficiency and optimal toolset performance, and suggest areas for improvement.
- Develop and refine incident response procedures, playbooks, and escalation protocols, and ensure incidents are correctly documented
- Ensure the correct configuration and use of security tools: SIEM, IDS, and firewalls.
- Develop SOC strategies, policies, and procedures
Requirements
- 5+ years of cybersecurity experience, with 2-3 years in SOC environment
- Experience leading teams
- Extensive Knowledge in security monitoring tools, incident detection, and response protocols.
