Senior NOC Engineer - Edinburgh (HYBRID) - Circa. £55,000 + BONUS
Lorien is working closely with a leading telecoms company in their search for their new Senior NOC Engineer to join the team and work in an evolving expanding organisation that have doubled in size over the last year. You will be a Senior part of the technology team's monitoring and administration of the company's core network, making sure that faults and issues are handled through to completion.
The role is working through a hybrid model, stationed out of their Edinburgh office (3 days in, 2 days WFH), as well as access to their latest tech, and more, so please look at the finer details below:
The position:
You will be the Senior member of the team for completing configuration and software updates in accordance with scheduled BAU network activities, making a positive contribution to proactive network maintenance and upkeep. You will work on customer fault escalations from the first line customer care team and manage them through to resolution in a timely and professional way.

- Perform 2nd and 3rd Line technical support, providing customer assistance and collaborating with other teams to accomplish this.
- Daily network and performance tracking
- Hardware troubleshooting and repair; fault analysis
- Implementing and maintaining technologies for network analysis, reporting, and monitoring
- Utilising change control procedures to apply configuration modifications and software updates
- Produce and retain data integrity and network documentation.
- Manage significant incidents that impact the customers within the infrastructure and network
- Assure dependable and stable network services (such as core networks, access products, and service networks, among others).
About you:
- JNCIA certified
- Have previous technical knowledge of Juniper and Adtran (within a Telecoms environment)
- Demonstrate a strong knowledge of the following: IT Protocols (ICMP, UDP, TCP); IP filtering and Firewalling; Routing Protocols (BGP, OSPF, ISIS); MPLS; Ethernet
- Experience within an ISP or Telecoms environment
Additionally, it would be beneficial to have experience with Cisco, or be CCNA certified.
Package:
The position is paying circa £55,000 per annum, with an up to 10% bonus included, and more benefits to discuss.
