The Role
We are open to 25-35 hours per week. We want someone who is genuinely interested in investing with us for the medium to long term, as AI adoption is critical to our success. We envision a partnership with someone who can help us integrate AI into the majority of our processes and continue optimizing them over time. This role has growth potential, with opportunities to eventually lead a team member who will work under your guidance. You will be responsible for integrating large language models (primarily OpenAI) to facilitate our workflows, improve billing, and help with resource allocation. We're aiming to simplify tasks for our employees, enhance productivity, and ultimately boost our ROI with better insight into project profitability.
Typical Projects You'd Be Working On
- Project Cost Estimation Tool : We want to develop a tool that allows us to calculate the number of hours spent on each action involved in managing our campaigns or other digital marketing projects. This tool should be able to map these hours against each employee's specific hourly rate, which varies from person to person. The ultimate goal is to accurately estimate the cost of resources required for each project, allowing us to make precise proposals to prospective clients. This will also enable us to determine our return on investment by understanding the actual benefit gained after accounting for internal resource costs. Furthermore, the tool should allow us to create a client-facing report, which would include the overall project cost, with an added commission, while omitting the detailed breakdown of hours worked per employee. This ensures that the client only sees the final price while we maintain internal transparency about the resource allocation and expenses.
- Client Time Tracking & Billing Integration : We currently have a system in place using Google Sheets, where each employee logs the number of hours worked for each client. Each column represents a different client, and each row represents a specific day of work. The goal is to automate and streamline the integration of this data into our billing processes. We want to create a seamless connection between logged hours and client invoicing, allowing us to accurately calculate billing amounts based on the time tracked. This process should also factor in the different hourly rates of our employees, ensuring precise calculations for each individual. The final step is to present this information in an intuitive reporting tool that can differentiate access based on user roles. For example, managers could have an overview of all clients and profitability, while employees might only see their logged hours. The ultimate objective is to provide a clear, accessible view of ROI for each client and give us insights into profitability across our client portfolio.
- Google Ads Optimization & Campaign Creation : We aim to use Google Ads API to both optimize our existing campaigns and make the creation of new campaigns significantly easier. We want to build a tool or console that employees can use to efficiently create and manage Google Ads campaigns by integrating AI into the process. Here’s how it would work: employees would be provided with a user-friendly interface where they could input key details such as the campaign theme, target landing page, audience, budget, and campaign objectives. The AI system would then generate ad copy, headlines, and other creative elements using predefined prompts designed to align with Google Ads guidelines and best practices. The tool should also assist in monitoring campaign performance, suggesting adjustments, and identifying opportunities for improvement based on real-time data pulled from Google Ads API. Our goal is to streamline the campaign management process, reduce the time spent on repetitive tasks, and help our team produce high-quality campaigns that are optimized for better performance.
- Reporting Tool for Clients and Employees : We want to create a comprehensive reporting tool that will be accessible by both clients and employees, featuring options for saving and sharing reports, including exporting as PDFs. Currently, we're using Looker Studio, but we're not entirely satisfied with its limitations in terms of flexibility and customization. This tool should also enable automated report generation, combining visual charts, campaign performance data, and automatically generated notes for better insights. For example, when a campaign is launched on Facebook, Google, and Instagram, the tool should be able to generate an aggregated report with visuals, performance summaries, and AI-driven insights. Additionally, the tool should have capabilities for easy review and light customization by project managers before sharing the final report with clients. The ultimate goal is to streamline the reporting process, enhance the quality of insights, and make data-driven decision-making more efficient.
The Team
Data integration manager using Google Cloud Platform, who has been working with us for almost a year. This person focuses on importing data from Zoho books (invoicing), Google Ads, LinkedIn, Facebook, etc., into Google Cloud, which is then utilized in Looker Studio and user functions. However, they do not have experience with large language models and we're keen to use this data effectively combined with AI.
I, as the CEO, will provide project ideas to improve productivity and efficiency. You'll liaise mostly with me during frequent reviews to discuss current projects and plan for next steps.
Team members like Jordan and Alexandre are available to assist with data mapping and contribute to ongoing projects. These individuals are available every business day to support and drive our initiatives forward.
What We're Looking For
- Solid experience with large language models, especially OpenAI. We're currently focused on this solution, but are open to exploring other models.
- Proven experience with Google Cloud Platform, including data integrations from ad platforms and web analytics tools.
- A proactive problem-solver with a passion for automation and using AI to improve workflow efficiency.
- Someone who can provide relevant examples of similar projects they've worked on (please ensure the examples align with what we’re looking for—irrelevant examples will not be considered).
- Strong communication skills, ability to collect technical requirements from a discussion about a potential project.
