Position Overview:
We are seeking a passionate and talented Marketing & Event Specialist to join our team working out of our EMEA operations. This can be based in the UK or Europe. The Marketing & Event Specialist role will work closely with the team to execute innovative events for the M&A team and support various marketing initiatives across the wider portfolio. The ideal candidate will have experience across the many areas of event coordination and management and will be responsible for planning, executing, and overseeing all aspects of events, from pre-event planning to onsite delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
- Event Planning & Co-ordination:
- Develop and manage event calendar, goals, and timelines.
- Create and oversee event budgets, ensuring cost-effectiveness and adherence to financial parameters.
- Collaborate with internal teams & stakeholders (including partners) to understand their needs and expectations.
- Develop and execute event plans from concept to completion, including logistics, vendor management, and budget tracking.
- Coordinate on-site activities, ensuring events run smoothly and meet established objectives.
- Conduct post-event evaluations to assess success and areas for improvement.
- Gather feedback from clients and attendees to inform future events.
- Marketing Support:
- Assist in the development and execution of marketing campaigns to promote events and enhance brand visibility through various channels.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to create promotional materials and campaigns.
- Create engaging content for various platforms, including social media, email newsletters, and websites.
- Analyze and report on the effectiveness of marketing initiatives and events.
- Relationship & Vendor Management:
- Build and maintain relationships with vendors, sponsors, and partners.
- Engage with attendees pre- and post-event to gather feedback and strengthen community ties.
- Research and negotiate contracts with venues, catering services, and other vendors.
- Build and maintain relationships with suppliers and service providers.
- Research and Trends:
- Stay updated on industry trends and best practices to ensure events are innovative and relevant.
- Conduct market research to identify target audiences and tailor marketing strategies accordingly.
Qualifications and Skills:
Bachelor’s degree in marketing, Business, Communications, or related field.
This role has a prerequisite to fluency in French and English; having Spanish will be highly regarded.
Proven experience in event planning and marketing (min. 3-5 years preferred). Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
Proficiency in marketing software and tools (e.g., CRM, email marketing platforms, social media management).
Creative mindset with strong attention to detail. Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Note: depending on event schedules, this role may require evening and weekend hours, as well as national and international travel for off-site events.
