Our client, a leading Insurance SaaS business, is seeking a skilled and experienced Lead Developer to guide and manage a team of 8 developers. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in driving the technical direction of the company’s software products, ensuring scalability, security, and performance. The role will involve hands-on development alongside leading the team, working closely with stakeholders, and delivering high-quality solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead a development team of 10+ developers, ensuring high standards of code quality, performance, and reliability.
- Architect and implement scalable, secure solutions using PHP , Laravel , MySQL , JavaScript , React , and AWS technologies.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product managers and designers, to understand business requirements and deliver robust software solutions.
- Oversee the entire development lifecycle, from planning and design to deployment and maintenance.
- Ensure best practices in development processes such as code reviews, CI/CD pipelines, and automated testing.
- Mentor and support the development team, fostering a collaborative and productive environment.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends and technologies, continuously improving the team’s skills and technical capabilities.
- Contribute to the ongoing innovation and evolution of the company's SaaS products, with a focus on the insurance technology sector.
Key Skills and Experience:
- Proven experience as a Lead Developer or in a similar leadership role, managing teams of 10+ developers.
- Strong proficiency in PHP , Laravel , MySQL , JavaScript , and React .
- Solid experience with AWS cloud services, including architecture and deployment.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and a strategic mindset.
- Strong communication and leadership skills, with the ability to mentor and inspire a team.
- Experience working within the SaaS industry, ideally with exposure to the insurance or fintech sectors.
