DevOps Engineer - West Yorkshire - Hybrid - £40,000-£50,000 DOE

Job Purpose / Role Overview:
They are seeking a skilled DevOps Engineer to automate infrastructure, manage cloud environments, and ensure the smooth operation of our software delivery processes. This role is pivotal in setting up CI/CD pipelines, ensuring system reliability, and maintaining security compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with scrum teams, development, product, design, and test teams to enhance product quality.
- Design, implement, and manage CI/CD pipelines for seamless software delivery.
- Automate the provisioning and configuration of cloud resources with a focus on uptime and performance.
- Deploy, manage, and optimize cloud-based infrastructure, ensuring system reliability.
- Set up and maintain monitoring, alerting, and logging systems for performance assurance.
- Work with product and development teams to plan and manage releases.
- Implement security best practices, including vulnerability scanning and firewall management.
- Participate in cross-functional meetings to define infrastructure requirements.
- Write and maintain scripts for automating routine tasks.
Experience Required:
- 3+ years in DevOps roles.
- Proven track record in automating infrastructure and deployment processes.
Skills and Competencies:
- Detail-oriented with strong technical skills in software development and delivery a plus!
- Familiarity with agile methodologies (Scrum/Kanban) and tools like Jira and Git.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
- Flexible within a fast-paced, collaborative culture.
- Strong technical ability for diagnosing and resolving multi-system issues.
- Organized approach to issue management and stakeholder reporting.
- Experience with relational databases (MySQL/Aurora preferred).
- Coding or database experience is advantageous.
- Practical experience with AWS and managing critical software platforms.
