The Role
As an Azure Platform Engineer , you will be responsible for the design, development, and maintenance of the Azure platform, enabling efficient and secure operations at scale. You will work closely with various teams to ensure that the platform is optimized for performance, security, and scalability, while leveraging Azure's cutting edge capabilities.
Key Responsibilities :
- Build, and maintain Azure Infrastructure-as-a-Service (IaaS) solutions, including virtual machines, networking, and storage.
- Manage Azure Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS) offerings such as Azure App Service, Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS), Azure Logic Apps, and Azure SQL Database, ensuring optimal performance and reliability.
- Implement Cloud-Native practices to modernize and streamline platform management and service delivery.
- Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps, enabling continuous integration and smooth deployment of services.
- Define and manage infrastructure using Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) methodologies, with expertise in BICEP for all cloud infrastructure provisioning.
- Ensure platform security and compliance by leveraging Azure's security tools and best practices, including Azure Security Center and Azure Policy.
- Collaborate with development, operations, and security teams to drive automation, improve operational efficiency, and implement platform improvements.
- Stay current with the latest Azure advancements and integrate new services into the platform as needed.
Must-Have Skills :
- In-depth experience with Azure IaaS, including VMs, storage, and networking.
- Hands-on expertise in Azure PaaS services, including but not limited to Azure App Service, Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS), Azure Logic Apps, Azure SQL Database, and Azure Cosmos DB.
- Proficiency in Cloud-Native design principles, including microservices architecture and containerization.
- Extensive experience with Azure DevOps for CI/CD pipeline development and management.
- Strong experience with Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC), with BICEP as a mandatory skill.
- Solid understanding of Azure security tools and best practices, ensuring robust governance and compliance across the platform.
