Are you a highly skilled Senior Software Engineer with a strong command of AWS and Go? We’re seeking a talented contractor to join our client’s innovative team, developing solutions that have a global impact.
Our client is a fast-growing scale-up based in Manchester, known for delivering cutting-edge archiving and supervision solutions to the Financial Services industry. Their platform captures and monitors digital communications—including emails, MS Teams conversations, and iMessages—to help businesses stay compliant with ever-evolving regulations.
Following significant investment from a US growth equity firm, they are poised for rapid expansion and are looking for top engineering talent to drive the next phase of their journey.
Data Sovereignty : Flexible options for data storage locations, ensuring compliance with global regulations.
Advanced Web Content Recording : Capturing dynamic web content, including modern applications that others struggle to handle.
SaaS Platform : An intuitive interface providing full-text search, analysis, and reporting features.
Efficient Search & Download : Easily access and retrieve archived content directly from the platform.
This is a hands-on role, where you’ll work extensively with AWS services, develop backend systems in Go, and contribute to the front-end using React and Remix. You’ll also have the opportunity to research and implement new technologies, solve complex problems, and collaborate across teams to deliver reliable, scalable software.
Lead by Example : Demonstrate technical excellence through hands-on coding and problem-solving. Full-Stack & Cloud Development : Own the full technology stack, from frontend (React, Remix) to backend (Go) and cloud infrastructure (AWS). Contribute to and lead the technical design process, bringing innovative solutions and critically evaluating ideas for effective implementation.
Develop robust automation solutions using scripting languages (bash, AppleScript) to streamline workflows on MacOS and Linux.
CI/CD & Infrastructure as Code : Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions, ensuring consistent and scalable code deployments.
Mentorship : Provide guidance to less experienced colleagues, fostering a collaborative and growth-oriented environment through peer programming, code reviews, and open technical discussions.
Identify and mitigate security risks throughout the development process, ensuring robust and secure infrastructure.
Adaptability & Flexibility : Proficiency in Go, AWS, and React is preferred, but you’re open to adapting to the best tools for the job.
Ownership & Initiative : You take pride in your work, owning projects from concept to delivery, and continually seeking ways to improve processes and products.
