The Store Manager has a key role at Dollarama, managing and overseeing the daily retail store operation which includes day-to-day operations, visual merchandizing activities, performance management, recruitment and training of new employees, scheduling and inventory management. * Overseeing all store operations and ensuring compliance with company policies and strategies.
* Leading, motivating, and developing store staff to achieve performance goals.
* Helping with store merchandizing, shelf stocking and boxing and unboxing daily shipments.
* Delivering exceptional customer service and resolving complex issues.
* Implementing and maintaining visual merchandizing standards based on company strategy.
* Ensuring store safety and cleanliness standards are maintained.
* Performing cash management, store opening and closing duties as needed.
* Providing employee performance feedback as needed.
* Assigning tasks to the team.
* Conducting managers on duty tasks: making sure daily breaks, time and attendance are taken.
* Responsible for the hiring and performance management process. *What do you need to succeed?*
* Minimum of two (2) years’ experience in the retail industry
* Minimum of two (2) year experience in a team management position
* Open availability required (day, evening, weekend)
* Excellent communication and decision-making capabilities
* Proven leadership and team management skills
* Strong problem-solving abilities
* Ability to multitask, prioritize, work in a dynamic, fast paced and high-volume environment Job Types: Full-time, Permanent Additional pay:
