The Role:

As a Lead Application Security Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and scaling the application security program for this fast-growing scale-up. You’ll work closely with product managers, engineers, and researchers to implement secure-by-default product features. This hands-on leadership position requires someone who thrives in a dynamic environment and enjoys working with cutting-edge technology.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead the design and implementation of security features and best practices.
Collaborate with engineering teams to conduct threat modelling and code reviews.
Drive the scaling of application security initiatives and programs.
Foster strong partnerships across product teams to ensure security alignment.

Requirements:

Minimum of 5+ years of experience in application security, including scaling security programs for fast-growing companies. (AI experience is a huge plus but start-up/scale-up experience is must.)
Strong technical background in coding and cryptography, with the ability to dive deep into security challenges and communicate effectively.
Experience with SaaS products and understanding of cloud security considerations (especially AWS).
Proven track record of building relationships with engineering teams and product managers.
