We are currently recruiting for an interesting Project Planner role working hybrid for a utilities client in Stafford, United Kingdom:

Duration: 6 months + extensions

Location: Stafford (2 days onsite per week)

Pay Rate: Negotiable

Key Skills:

Oracle Primavera P6: 5-20 years of extensive experience in utilizing Oracle Primavera P6 for project planning, scheduling, and management. Proficient in all aspects of the software, including data entry, activity creation, resource allocation, baseline creation, progress tracking, and reporting.
Project Planning: Proven ability to develop and implement comprehensive project plans from scratch, encompassing project scope definition, work breakdown structures (WBS), activity sequencing, resource allocation, and schedule development.
Domain Expertise: Strong background in the Oil & Gas, Power, Renewable Energy, or HVDC sectors. In-depth understanding of project methodologies, industry standards, and regulatory requirements specific to these domains.
Large-Scale Projects: Experience managing complex projects with over 2000 activities, demonstrating the ability to handle large-scale planning and scheduling challenges.
On-Site Collaboration: Willingness and ability to work on-site to collaborate effectively with project teams and stakeholders, ensuring alignment and smooth project execution.

Responsibilities:

Develop and maintain comprehensive project plans, including WBS, activity sequencing, resource allocation, and schedule development.
Utilize Oracle Primavera P6 to create and manage project schedules, track progress, and monitor performance against project objectives.
Identify and mitigate project risks and issues, proactively addressing challenges to ensure project success.
Collaborate with project teams, stakeholders, and management to ensure effective communication and alignment.
Prepare and deliver regular project progress reports, highlighting key performance indicators and identifying areas for improvement.
Provide expert guidance and support to project teams on project planning, scheduling, and execution.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Project Management, or a related field.
PMP certification or equivalent project management qualification preferred.
Minimum 5-20 years of experience in project planning and scheduling, with a focus on Oracle Primavera P6.
Proven track record of successfully delivering large-scale projects in the Oil & Gas, Power, Renewable Energy, or HVDC sectors.
