It is a pilot project and the first of its kind in BC. The goal of Aurora Home is to assist the individuals to maintain their cognitive capacity and independence for as long as they possibly, before requiring more complex level of care home. *Licensed Practical Nurse* assesses, plans, implements, and evaluates nursing care in Aurora Home at our new Parkview Place facility in accordance with the competency guidelines within the Professional Standards, outlined by the College of Licensed Practical Nurses of BC and the current legislative scope of practice. This includes the promotion, maintenance and restoration of health of clients and prevention, treatment and palliation of illness and injury. *Qualifications & Experience:*
* Graduation from an approved Practical Nursing Program.
* Current Registration with the College of Licensed Practical Nurses of British Columbia (CLPNBC)
* One year of recent related experience or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience recognized by the CLPNBC.
* Must be sensitive to & respectful of cultural differences, differences in socio-economic status & lifestyle diversity.
* Knowledge of relevant socio-historical events relevant to Indigenous culture
* Intermediate Computer Skills (moderate understanding of operating systems, word processing, graphics, spreadsheets, databases)*Required: *
* Valid class 5 driver’s license & satisfactory drivers abstract
* Criminal Record Check clearance
* TB Test
* This position requires union membership
