The Commissioning Engineer will support building systems commissioning and performance engineering. Projects are within Ontario and Eastern Canada. This role focuses on technical development, planning, execution, and reporting on Commissioning projects.
This opportunity is with a national, growing, multidisciplinary consulting firm and this opportunity is with their Toronto office. Buildings commissioning experience will be required as this is a specialized role.

Here's what you'll be doing:
- Commissioning new construction buildings, existing buildings, and monitoring based commissioning.
- Management of multiple projects in parallel. This includes managing all aspects of certain projects, including some specialty projects and/or close-out deliverables.
- Assist Project Manager with preparation of project documentation, including Owner’s Project Requirements (OPR), Commissioning Plan, and Commissioning Report.
- Assisting with submittal reviews for systems to be commissioned
- Planning, Completing/coordinating and reporting on site field reviews.
- Plan and manage technical aspects of projects with coordination from other team personnel
- Development, Planning, Execution and Reporting of Technical Commissioning Plans
- Preparing final reports and assisting with overall project deliverables
- Lead Warranty Period Reviews and Follow-Up
- Lead existing building investigations and energy audits including site visits
- Review documentation and performance to identify energy saving opportunities and perform basic energy calculations and cost/benefit analyses of energy saving opportunities.
- Implementation of monitoring based commissioning plans, completing reviews of energy data, maintenance logs, and building automation system trend-logs.
Here's what you'll need:
- 7-10+ years of consulting engineering experience with a focus in commissioning.
- Extensive project experience in Ontario
- Deep knowledge of local building codes and standards
