Security Engineering Manager - Remote - £100-120K
Our client which is in the fintech space is building a security platform for the future that protects customer and colleague data from cyber threats. They aim to ensure that colleagues can access the next generation of collaboration tools securely and efficiently!
What You'll Be Doing:
- Develop and implement a comprehensive security engineering strategy that aligns with business objectives and regulatory requirements.
- Develop technical standards aligned with Security Standards, and implement monitoring and enforcement solutions.
- Conduct regular assessments of network infrastructure to identify vulnerabilities and ensure compliance with security requirements.
- Collaborate with network engineering teams to implement secure network designs and configurations.
- Define and oversee network access controls and segmentation strategies.
- Evaluate, select, and implement security tools and technologies to enhance the organisation's security posture.
- Establish and maintain a governance framework for managing cryptographic keys and digital certificates.
- Develop and enforce policies and procedures for key and certificate lifecycle management.
- Monitor and audit key and certificate usage to ensure compliance and prevent unauthorized access.
- Regularly report to senior management and the board on the status of the company's security posture, including risks, incidents, and improvement initiatives.
Skills:
- Extensive experience in security engineering, encompassing the design, implementation, and management of complex security solutions and initiatives.
- Proven ability in network security governance, including the creation and enforcement of policies, standards, and guidelines.
- In-depth expertise in evaluating, selecting, and implementing security tools and technologies to bolster security capabilities.
- Demonstrated proficiency in managing keys and certificates, including the development of frameworks and procedures for their governance.
- Solid background in incident response and management, including the formulation and execution of incident response plans and procedures.
Bonus Skills (Not Essential):
- Experience with Azure Development Pipeline or similar pipelines
- Incident response expertise
- Familiarity with relevant security regulations, standards, and frameworks (e.g., ISO 27001, NIST, PCI DSS)
