We're working with an innovative engineering powerhouse to find a skilled Kubernetes Specialist ready to make an impact in high-performance container management. This role offers the chance to lead Kubernetes projects at scale and shape next-gen solutions in a supportive and dynamic environment.
The Opportunity: Join as the Kubernetes authority, deploying, securing, and optimizing containerized solutions that are both reusable and scalable. You'll mentor teams across the organization, helping them fully leverage Docker and Kubernetes while driving automation to make IT services faster and smarter.
Location & Working Style:
Locations: Stevenage, Bolton, or Bristol
Flexible Hybrid Model: 1-2 days per week on-site
Security Clearance: Sole British Citizen required, with willingness to obtain DV Clearance. BPSS will allow you to start while completing the DV process.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead deployment, optimization, and management of containerized environments with Kubernetes
Collaborate closely with engineering and IM teams, enabling rapid application development and testing
Drive automation with tools like Ansible and enhance service resilience with top-notch monitoring and logging
Conduct workshops and training sessions on Kubernetes best practices for colleagues
Support architecture definitions and troubleshoot issues to ensure smooth container operations
Influence the evolution of software-defined data centers, contributing to a highly regarded and professional team
What We’re Looking For:
Expertise in Docker, Kubernetes, and complementary tools like Rancher, Helm, Nexus, and Artifactory
Strong Linux proficiency, particularly with RHEL, and command-line scripting (Bash, Python) for automation
Skilled in using Ansible for automated deployments and configuration
Background in CI/CD pipelines and OpenShift is a plus
Excellent problem-solving skills and stakeholder management abilities
