Registered Care Manager
Location: Barnsley, S70.Salary: £34,000 – £36,000 (depending on experience)Contract: Full time, permanent.Holidays: 28 days annual leave (including bank holidays)
About the Business
Our client is looking for a Registered Care Manager with the drive and vision to develop and grow their new care business. Working for a well-known franchise, you’d build the care team from scratch, help ensure the delivery of great care and shape the future of the service. Your responsibilities will include:
Building and Expanding the Business
• Develop and implement strategies to increase weekly hours, exploring new opportunities for service delivery and partnerships.• Proactively network with key stakeholders in the local area, including healthcare professionals, community groups and local authorities, so as to build relationships and increase visibility of the service in the community.• Represent the business at events, forums and care sector meetings.• Work closely with the franchise team to ensure smooth operations and to meet growth targets.• Lead by example, providing strong and inspirational leadership to your team.• Manage day-to-day operations, ensuring the service runs smoothly, efficiently, and with the utmost care for our clients.
Team Recruitment and Development
• Recruit, train and develop a high-performing care team that aligns with the values of compassion and excellence.• Implement effective retention strategies that will help maintain a stable and committed workforce.
Regulation and Compliance
• Ensure full compliance with CQC regulations, in order that the business meets all regulatory requirements.• Conduct regular audits, implement quality assurance measures and review service performance, so as to continuously improve service delivery.• Prepare for and manage CQC inspections, ensuring outstanding or good ratings.
What We’re Looking For
• Proven experience as a Registered Care Manager with a strong understanding of CQC standards, auditing and good governance.• A track record of successfully managing, recruiting, and retaining care teams.• Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate a team.• A proactive and innovative approach to growing a business and building a client base.• Excellent understanding of person-centred care and a commitment to delivering high standards.• Strong organisational, problem-solving, and communication skills.• A recognised qualification in health and social care management (NVQ Level 5 or equivalent) would be advantageous.• Full UK driving licence.
